⚠️ A rough model, not a measurement. It assumes about 70% of views come from India and Nepal — where advertisers pay roughly a tenth of Western rates — and 30% from the diaspora. YouTube keeps ~45% of ad revenue, and shorts earn a small fraction of long-form rates. Real figures depend on actual audience location, which YouTube doesn't publish. Most creators here earn more from sponsorships, memberships and community support than from ads.
